Internet Development Index

Sets or retrieves a Boolean value that indicates whether the window is set to display a title bar or caption, for the HTML Application (HTA).

Syntax

HTML<HTA:APPLICATION CAPTION = bTitleBar... >
Scripting[ bTitleBar = ] HTA:APPLICATION.caption

Possible Values

bTitleBarBoolean that specifies one of the following values:
yesDefault. Title bar is displayed.
noTitle bar is not displayed.

The property is read-only. The property has a default value of yes.

Remarks

Note  The caption property is read-only; however, the CAPTION attribute can be used to set the initial value.

The application title appears only when the caption property is set to yes. Turning off the caption also disables the program icon and the Minimize and Maximize buttons. In this case, you must provide an alternate way for the user to quit the HTA, such as a button that invokes the close method of the window object.

Example

This example shows how to retrieve the caption property.

>
<SCRIPT>
